An Opportunity for Donors
Support the initiatives that have resulted from Global Mother Divine Organization’s collaboration with the Revered Indigenous Grandmothers around the world
The indigenous women, who attended the October 2010 conference, appreciate Maharishi’s programs as a natural complement to their global and/or community work. Many have recently learned the Transcendental Meditation technique and have expressed their desire to implement Maharishi’s programs in their own communities and nations. This includes Consciousness Based Programs such as the TM program in schools, preventative health programs for women’s health, mother/baby care, and family health programs.
These initiatives are especially important because of the deep link that the indigenous cultures have with the local laws of nature. This means that the creation of Consciousness Based programs within these indigenous communities will have an extremely powerful effect in creating balance and harmony, both locally and globally.
How you can support these Consciousness-Based Initiatives for the Indigenous Communities and Nations of North America, and around the world
TAX DEDUCTIBLE DONATIONS
As a result of the deep feelings of common purpose and shared goals, generated by our October 2010 conference, many very concrete and practical action steps have been defined and have begun to be implemented. Following are descriptions of some of those initiatives and the support required:
-
Our programs for Women’s Health are now going to be integrated into many indigenous communities around the world, including many North American First Nation communities. These programs will be made available though clinics and nursing schools on the Reservations.
$50,000 is needed for scholarships for 12 indigenous nurses to enroll in a 6-month training program in Maharishi Ayur-Veda. This online course is being offered through Brandman University’s School of Nursing. Brandman is an accredited university in Irvine, California. These scholarship students will then promote the use of these natural health modalities within their communities.
-
Global Mother Divine Organization will now be partnering with the Bumi Sehat Foundation to support birthing clinics in indigenous communities in Haiti, in Bali, and in Aceh (as part of the continued Tsunami relief efforts there), and in many African countries. Our collaborative efforts will also include public awareness campaigns that focus on the advantages of home birthing, as well as the creation of Mother/Baby Health and Healing Centers offering the Maharishi Ayur-Veda Mother /Baby Program.
The Bumi Sehat Foundation welcomes any and all donations for its continued operations in Bali, Aceh and Haiti. (www.bumisehatbali.bali.org )

Many of the indigenous women would like the ladies in their communities to become teachers of Transcendental Meditation so that they will have permanent teachers in their community, teaching TM to the young people. They are eager to stop the rising incidents of depression and suicide among their young people, and feel that the Transcendental Meditation program could be very useful in preventing this most unfortunate situation. They were impressed with all of the research (340 peer-reviewed published studies, including 35 Random Control studies and 5 meta-analysis studies) and found the underlying principles of the TM technique to be compatible with their indigenous worldview.
In order to fulfill this request, Global Mother Divine Organization will be offering a TM Teacher Training Program for Native American and the First Nations women so that Indian Country can be completely self-sufficient in their ability to provide this knowledge to their people.
$200,000 is needed to sponsor this 5-month training program

We are working with three Reservations on a diabetes research project, with a specific focus on gestational diabetes. Many indigenous women who are diabetic become so when they are pregnant. This in turn affects the fetus such that the child will be more susceptible to diabetes later in life.
Documenting the Transcendental Meditation (TM) program’s ability to prevent this disorder could be a very significant contribution to the future health and well being of the indigenous communities. As a result of the indigenous grandmother’s support for this project we have received approval from their Tribal Councils.
$200,000 is needed to launch this research project
-
The other project that is being championed by the indigenous grandmothers is the creation of Consciousness Based charter schools for girls on the Reservations, as well as bringing the TM technique to the existing schools on the Reservations. The grandmothers were impressed with the curriculum that we have developed, and with the TM research on the improvement of learning skills and self- actualization.
Two school projects are now waiting for $200,000 in funding, in order to proceed
-
Other projects include helping the indigenous grandmothers find the needed resources to stop the destruction of their tribal lands, and the loss of their Mother Tongue.
Ongoing funding is needed for these initiatives
We greatly appreciate your support
These First Nation Initiatives are being sponsored by the Global Mother Divine Organization (GMDO); a 501 (c) 3 tax exempt, charitable organization. This is the women’s wing of the international Transcendental Meditation movement. Maharishi inaugurated this organization in November of 2007 when he asked the mothers of his Movement to share the Knowledge of Natural Law with the mothers of the world, allowing this knowledge to flow from like-heart to like-heart.
